Built By Blackwell makes modern websites and bespoke digital tools for local businesses — designed, built, hosted, maintained and updated, so the owner can get back to running the business.
A lot of very good local businesses are let down by their website. It's out of date, it doesn't work properly on a phone, or it never got built at all — usually because a proper one meant thousands of pounds up front, and that money was needed elsewhere.
I'm Rhys, based in Gloucester, and I started Built By Blackwell to remove that barrier. Instead of a large invoice, you pay a sensible monthly amount that covers the design, build, hosting, maintenance and routine updates. The aim is simple: help good local businesses improve how they look online without asking them to find thousands of pounds up front.
Gloucester and Gloucestershire are where I want to help first. From there, Built By Blackwell works across the South West, London and UK-wide.
The name is the promise. We build it, we look after it, and it keeps evolving as the business does.

What we don't do
Corporate waffle, cheesy stock photography, invented reviews, fake statistics or promises about search rankings that nobody can keep.
